July 12, 2011
To all security forces that operate inside of Douma,

Considering the still ongoing massive presence and the large amounts of security forces on the city borders of and inside Douma since April 25th, 2011, and considering the intimidation of the people, and especially the women and children, that resulted from their barbaric acts as well as the random arrests, beatings, harassment, provocations, direct intimation and stopping any activity in the city, we:

Warn you that if you don’t leave the city, we will go by the following schedule, leading to open civil disobedience within one month:

First week: Stop paying the bills related to water, electricity, phones, and other taxes, while continuing peaceful protests.

Second week: Adding the following to the first week actions: Closing our bank accounts in governmental banks.

Third week: Adding the following to the first two weeks actions: General strike for 3 days followed by 4 days home sit-in.

Until we finally reach civil disobedience.

For your information, all the cities and towns of Damascus rural will follow our steps starting by the end of the first week, unless you respond to our demands as soon as possible.

The sons of the city of Douma
