Neighborhoods of Raml and Sakantori in Lattakia didn’t witnessed the usual massive demonstrations with thousands of participants, sounds of projectiles from armored vehicles, tanks and military boats were louder than the demonstrations, there were shouts of residents fleeing shelling and rushing to rescue the wounded instead of chants to topple the regime, there was blood of 25 martyrs instead of ink for signs.
Storming started in Raml this dawn by shelling and heavy shooting, preceded by slow progress of security forces, army troops and armored vehicles, then they stormed Sakantori neighborhood, meanwhile, shabiha (regime’s armed thugs) cars were roaming other neighborhoods known for demonstrating against the regime, and they were shooting to intimidate residents.
Meanwhile, security forces and shabiha continued what they’ve been doing in Hawla since they raid it earlier this month. Dead bodies for 5 martyrs who were killed under torture in security branches were delivered to their families, others are still unaccounted for with unconfirmed news about their martyrdom in the same way.
Security forces are still killing people from different sects to create anger and sectarian strife in the cities and areas that have residence from different sects and who have been always living together in peace.
After Ramadan night prayer (Taraweh), the daily time for demonstrations in all cities, villages and neighborhoods to walk out demonstrating, mostly unified with their chants for freedom and in solidarity with their brothers whom are under siege, gunfire and random killing in Lattakia, Hama, Idlib and Deir Ezzor.
