Free Revolutionaries of Qatana: The past few days the regime has deliberately tried to stir up conflicts between residents of the city of Qatana by sending a shabiha and mercenary to harass peaceful protesters and to suppress them and beat them using distasteful sectarian language in the city which includes all sects and faiths. It was clear that they wished in this manner to justify their attack of the city and abuse of the residents and to spread division among them and so that they may fear each other. Therefore we suggest the following important points:
First The only enemy is the regime and the mercenaries who suppress peaceful protests and kill and detain our sons.
Second - We cannot blame a religious sect or a community for the acts of specific individuals which have harmed many of our people by choosing to go in an alliance with the repressive authoritarian regime.
Third - Our revolution is a peaceful one protected by the hands of all Syrians and for all Syrians we struggle, we will not be dragged to the religious and sectarian games and practices of the dirty regime which is intended to distract us from our struggle and distort the image of the revolution .
Fourth - We demand the immediate withdrawal of military and security forces from our city, and the release of hundreds of detainees who were arrested recently, we promise our people that we will not stop nor rest and we will continue our protest peacefully. We will not be scared from neither their weapons nor their prisons.
fifth - We would like to greet the people the Qatana (from all religions) and we reject the offensive talks against them made by those who are still supporting the regime. In addition, we would like to especially thank the great people of Al-Shahba town, who demonstrated today in support of the other besieged Syrian cities, including our city - Qatana.
