In the name of god almighty

in the name of the free people of Zabadani and its surroundings, we declare that our revolution is still and has always been peaceful, and that this revolution shall not be anything but peaceful under any circumstances. We never raised weapons nor shall we ever do do; We shall never get the blood of our fellow citizens on our hands whatever happens. The only weapons we shall use are our voices and bare chests and all other peaceful means

The incitement against the Zabadani and its surround which has been carried on by the Syrian official media, shows the hidden will of the regime to overtake the city, sometimes under the name of armed groups, and sometimes under the accusations of smuggling arms. It reached the point where prisoners were pressured by the regime - through threatening them with their families - to sign fake declarations that can be later showed on official media, which can provide a legal excuse for the regime to do harm to our people.

we declare to our fellow citizens and the whole world that we, the people of Zabadani, never hosted any armed groups, nor any anarchist groups, and that all accusations against us by the Syrian media are not true and without any real proof.

we ask of everyone to spread along our message to all interested parties and international media outlets to show the world the real reasons behind: deploying tanks and army troops on the borders outskirts of Zabadani, the siege that was never lifted from Madaya, and surrounding Zabadani with Security services barricades. All of this has been going since the past 3 weeks, and in concurrence with the media campaigns against the Zabadani

We are faithful to the cause until the demands of our great people are met

Eternal shall be the names of our martyrs, and Freedom shall be the reward to our great people
