Syria: 31 children were killed by the Army’s and security forces’ live gunfire and heavy weapons in the month of October. During this time, 25 male children were killed, the youngest among them 2-year-old Mohamad Diab Sammaq from Binnish in Idlib. In addition, six female children were killed, the youngest among them 2-year-old Katrine Khabour from Homs. Since March 15, the number of child martyrs has reached 222. The youngest of all was the 6-month-old infant Mohamad Ahmad Sabboura from Qatana in the Damascus suburbs. In total, 184 little boys and 38 little girls have been killed. Among the girls were two 2-year-olds: Oula Jablawi from Lattakia and Yara Al-Fares from Soran in Hama.
Number of martyrs that the VDC documented since the beginning of October till now reached to 595 martyrs.
