Syria: the number of martyr on the Friday of “God is with Us” has risen to 24 now, seven of them in Arbeen, five martyrs fell in Homs, another five were killed in Hama. Three martyrs are from Domeir, two from Damascus and one martyr in Nawa and on in Mouadmayeh.

God is with us…..Amen

Syria has sacrificed 26 martyrs today, on Friday of “God is With Us”. Some were killed by bullets of the security forces during the weekly demonstrations at noon, which were met with live bullets by the security forces, especially in Erbeen, Dumeir and Homs. Others were killed during the night demonstrations, that turned into an atmosphere of war in the neighborhoods of Homs that witnessed shelling with artillery and shooting with heavy machine guns. This was a response to the demonstrations and an attempt to stop defected soldiers who no longer could fight unarmed civilians! Several people were also killed in Damascus and its suburbs, and in Daraa, and several of the martyrs of Hama were identified. Hama, whose siege hides many secrets. What has leaked so far tells us about massacres and the pressure on people to live with the least of vital resources.

The tragedy continues in Erbeen, the city just to the East of Damascus and close to Harasta, Douma and Saqba. Erbeen witnessed vicious military and security operations and has been under siege for the past two days. Live ammunition and tanks have been used, and demonstrators have been shot point-blank. This event led to the deaths of 7 martyrs. The wounded are prevented from getting to hospitals in nearby towns, and security forces are detaining those who successfully transported their wounded for treatment. The situation is not much better in the southern districts of Damascus, where a child fell in Nahr Aisha area in the traditional neighborhood of Midan during a night demonstration.

Homs

The city has been living in an atmosphere of regular war for hours now, Baba Amr is witnessing a violent shelling with artillery and heavy machine guns in an attempt of the amry and the security forces to gain control after the defection of a large number of elements of the military who are in possession of a BMP vehicle. In the meantime, the town of Talbiseh is witnessing violent shelling from armored vehicles that are centered in the area of the castle. A few minutes ago, an ambulance was spotted that was driven by members of the security forces who were opening random gunfire in the neighborhood of Qosour. The sound of gunfire from various types of machine guns is heard in the neighborhoods of Jourat Sheikh and Inshaat and Asheera and Bab Sbaa and Bayada and Karam Shami

Security forces are raiding the houses and detaining dozens of young men after dispersing a huge demonstration that assembled on the Main Street. At least two were wounded by shots from the security forces.

Damascus Suburbs, Yalda
Several people were wounded when security forces openend live fire and shot tear gas against a nightly demonstration that set out in the Woroud neighborhood. They also sourrounded the mosque of which protesters came out, chanting for freedom and the toppling of the regime. The residents have set up barricades to prevent the security forces from entering side streets.
